WORLD BIBLE SCHOOL:
CEDAR PARK, Texas — Across America, people of all ages run, cycle and swim in organized athletic events.
From a 10K to benefit a local charity to a multi-day bike ride supporting diabetes, millions get active to benefit the world.
Now, some Christians — believers whose faith is active as well as their lifestyles — are becoming a member of “Athletes on Team WBS.”
Their commitment: to train for an athletic event of their choosing and use it to raise funds for World Bible School.
“I’ve raised money for great causes like cancer,” Michael Everist, an Austin triathlete and Westover Hills Church of Christ member, said. “But I want to do something that has a more spiritual and evangelistic impact.”
