Are you worried about what you are going to wear to school today? Or, where you will eat lunch or who will eat with you?
Jesus said, “do not worry about your life. . . .” Matt. 6:25. Worry is what we do when we can’t do anything else. Worry can overwhelm us and still get us nowhere.
The Greek word for worry is merimna which means “distraction.” Worry is a way that Satan distracts us from focusing on Jesus and trusting in him. How distracted are you? How unfocused on Jesus are you?
Jesus says that our Father feeds the birds and feeds the grass and he will take care of us if we just focus on him and trust him. When you feel anxious and begin to worry tell yourself to put yourself in the hands of Jesus. He will take care of you.
